Success Story: How digna Transformed Data Quality Management at IT-Services of Austrian Social Security

Digna: Enhancing Data Quality in Warehouse Environments through Artificial Intelligence

"I don't believe a word you say."

These were the skeptical words uttered by Vojkan Radak, the Data Warehouse Product Manager at IT-Services of Austrian Social Security (ITSV), in response to Marcin Chudeusz, former colleague and the CEO of Digna. The encounter took place back in July 2021, when Marcin revealed that startup he co-founded, had developed a revolutionary software named Digna. This software claimed to ensure impeccable data quality in a Data Warehouse without relying on complex Data Quality Rules. Given Radak's three decades of experience in the Data Warehouse field, his skepticism was well-founded.

The Journey Begins: September 2021

Driven by a commitment to innovation, IT-Services of Austrian Social Security embarked on a journey. In September 2021, after a summer break, they initiated a daring Proof of Concept (PoC) involving Digna - an AI-Powered Data Quality Platform crafted by Digna. A mere month into the PoC, Radak found himself astonished. "We gained so much knowledge about our data, it was incredible" he remarked, signaling the start of a transformative endeavor.

A Triumph Worth Sharing: April 2023

Fast forward to April 2023, the stage was set at the Data Excellence Conference in Vienna. In a remarkable joint presentation, Digna's Chief Scientific Officer and Co-Founder, Danijel Kivaranovic, and ITSV's Data Warehouse Product Manager, Vojkan Radak stood before the audience to share their success story. Radak's narrative carried a sense of achievement that resonated throughout the conference.

9000 Data Quality Rules for Technical Checks Replaced

During the presentation, Radak confidently announced, "Digna has successfully replaced a staggering 9000 data quality rules for technical checks within our Data Warehouse." These rules, which had been cumbersome to maintain, were now expertly handled by Digna's AI-algorithms. This announcement, right at the beginning of the presentation, certainly captured the audience's attention, shedding light on the profound impact of Digna.

From Skepticism to Amazement

The story Radak painted was one of transformation and achievement. From his initial skepticism in July 2021 to the awe he felt in April 2023, he depicted how a Viennese startup had accomplished what was once considered impossible. By harnessing the power of Artificial Intelligence, Digna had effectively resolved the issue of technical data quality rules, leaving a lasting mark on the Data Warehouse landscape.

Empowering a Whole Organization

Digna's influence extended beyond ITSV's Data Warehouse. As a testament to its capabilities, ITSV decided to implement Digna as the Data Quality Platform for their entire Social Security organization. This bold move empowered employees across the board to configure projects independently, thus elevating the organization's data quality since December 2022.

Celebrating Transformative Success

Digna's impact wasn't confined to just replacing technical data quality rules; it represented a significant shift in the way organizations approach data quality. Radak's journey from skepticism to advocacy encapsulated the essence of this transformative success, demonstrating how AI-driven solutions can reshape conventional paradigms.

Charting the Path to Data Excellence

The Data Excellence Conference of 2023 went beyond merely showcasing success stories; it offered a roadmap to achieve Data Excellence. Covering topics ranging from Data Excellence Strategy to Data Lifecycle, the conference equipped attendees with insights and tools to navigate the evolving data landscape.

Embracing Data Excellence Today

As the conference concluded, IT-Services of Austrian Social Security's success story with Digna reverberated in the minds of attendees. Vojkan Radak's personal journey mirrored the larger transformation unfolding in the realm of data management. Digna's effectiveness, as demonstrated by ITSV, was a testament not only to its capabilities but also Digna commitment to redefining how organizations approach data quality.
